WOMEN’S FIELD HOCKEY

RULES

The Winter Adult League is perfect for college students as well as post college players who are looking to get back into the game! The league will be a pick up style and teams will be made each night. We will be back up and running in the fall!

We also offer Youth Leagues

Our goal is to provide teams with fun, competitive play during their off-season that will keep their field hockey skills and passions alive throughout all the non-fall months! At DIS we offer small game play that tightens players turf skills, all the while allowing them valuable time to connect on the field with teammates. Even if playing other sports throughout the school year, the day and times of our league allows them to keep refining their field hockey skills without taking away from other activities in their lives. All games are officiated with NFHS certified referees.

We offer three different levels of play:

Premier Pool (Varsity Teams)
Advanced Pool (High School Teams)
Intermediate Pool (Middle School Teams)

Session 2
January 26 – April 5, 2020

7v7 on Sundays
Teams will play one game a week
No games February 16, 2020

Team Fee: $1,300
$100 deposit due at registration

Per Governor Baker’s announcement, Phase III begins on Monday, July 6. Danvers Indoor Sports fields and courts are open for up to 25 players per playing surface.

Cash and check payments are not allowed at this time. Online/over the phone payments only to adhere to social distance guidelines. The safety of our employees and customers is always our top priority.

Please review STANDARDS FOR SPORTS & RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN PHASE III, Step 1 Page 3 for sports and recreation activities risk level and type of play.

Programs must separate participants into groups of no more than 25, Larger playing areas and surfaces, such as athletic fields, tracks, tennis courts, and full- size basketball courts, may be used by more than one group of 25 at one time, provided that adequate social distance and group separation can be maintained. To ensure group separation, groups must be spaced at least 20 feet apart while sharing a playing surface or field.

Scrimmages, organized games and tournaments are not allowed for high risk contact sports in Phase III and activities must be limited to no-contact drills and training exercises.
